It's been a blur, but it's happening.

你好朋友！ and for those of you who don't read Chinese...

'hi friends!'

The days are drawing near, too near if you ask me. I've already said my goodbyes to San Diego, a terribly sad day that was, and soon enough, I'm going to have to say goodbye to California, and goodbye to America. I know, I know, a tad dramatic, after all I've been abroad twice already, but for some reason, this time feels... different. Maybe it's the six month, longer than any other abroad trip I've done, which from past experience (these last 2 quarters) I know will fly by, or maybe it's not knowing a single soul in Beijing, OR maybe it's going to the country where I feel like I am supposed to be at. I don't know what it is about China, but I feel drawn to it, and the anticipation has been building up inside of me... all year. And this had combined into a strange mixture of excitement and ... dread perhaps. Saying goodbye to America won't be easy, saying goodbye to San Diego was difficult enough. Yet, the adventures in China awaits me, and excited or not, I'm leaving... in 5 days. I'm returning to Hong Kong for 2 days, the place that dare I say, turned me fob after 4 months, and then off to my newest escapade: Beijing China. I have my visa, my clothes and belongings are scattered around my room as I try to not make the same mistake I made when I packed for Hong Kong (overpacking). In a few days I'll be ready as I'll ever be. But don't worry, my airplane ticket is roundtrip (for those of you who think I'm never coming back), I'll be back in 6 months, but until then, I'll try and remain a faithful blogger and keep you guys updated on my adventures. much love, currently from milpitas.
